Free Welding Procedure (WPS) Templates

As part of CE marking for structural steel. BS EN 1090-2. You are required to obtain and maintain a library of welding procedures and corresponding welder qualifications.

The first step is to obtain Weld Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR). This is a set of parameters set out to allow consistent production of a particular weld type, according to your specific welding process and capabilities. Test pieces based on these, must be witnessed and tested via non-destructive testing by an external UKAS NDT company.

From having WPQR’s approved, you must then produce in-house WPS’s, which are instructions to suit all relevant welding situations, catering to different material thicknesses and fit-ups.

Our WPS templates are free to use, and are based directly upon the one’s that Force 5 Engineering use on a daily basis, as part of our CE framework that has been running successfully for several years.
