House of the Year
Force 5 Engineering were privileged to work on the redevelopment of a residential property in London, for which they supplied various items, including steel staircase, AV unit and shelving.
Garden House
The client’s tireless hard work, combined with the efforts of Force 5 Engineering resulted in their property “Garden House” featuring on Grand Designs – House of the Year 2016.
Folded Steel Staircases
The design specified for Garden House consisted of a seemingly seamless, folded sheet of 6mm thick steel sheet. Finished in a crisp white painted finish and minimal visible support, the staircase appears to defy gravity.
A perfect example of steel being used to defy convention and appear light and delicate. A far cry from the most common installations.
